In this section is the information we have been able to compile regarding help for individuals - things like state resources, nonprofit resources, or special shopping hours. ~ Governor Newsom has signed an executive order mandating a moratorium on evictions! As with all government programs there are conditions such as having proof that you're inability to pay stems from COVID-19 and still being obligated to pay for back rent.

~ The Treasury Department has released new information on the CARES Act. All information, including an application for the Paycheck Protecion Program, can be found at home.treasury.gov/cares. This site has all official information on all financial incentive programs as well as all recent statements and press releases about COVID-19 assistance. It also has information about how to avoid scams related to the COVID-19 situation. There is even information about a refundable tax credit from the IRS!

~ The United Way has a COVID-19 community economic relief fund. They can help with bills, rent, and food. You can call 1-866-211-9966 for a list of local agencies to provide assistance.

~ Ventura County has set up a Rapid Response group. Visit www.rapidresponsevc.org to submit a form. You will be matched to available services. The application for support is quick and confidential.  The website is available in 200 languages based on the user’s browsers language setting.

The deadline for individuals and families applying for the 1st round of funding is March 31st
