Ride Your Bike To Men's Camp
October 5, 2018, 2:00 pm

Hello fellow rider,

I am looking forward to our ride together and the men’s retreat in October.  This will be a great time of connecting with friend old and new.

In anticipation of this time I wanted to pass along the current details and provide you with some VERY IMPORTANT information I am asking you to look over and be alert to.

 But first things first:

  1. Have you registered for the retreat?  Please go online and register at: TCOTWSC.ORG/EVENTS
  2. The attached documents are VERY IMPORTANT for all of us to have under our belts.  The documents have to do with a) riding as a group and b) hand signals.  Please take the time to review them.
  3. The approximate ride time to Camp Cedar Crest will be 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  This will allow for and include a humanitarian stop with the opportunity to refuel if you should need to before we head up the hill.
  4. Rider safety is at the top of our list of concerns.  Second would include the road-worthiness of your motorcycle.  Some of the things to check in advance of our departure should include:
    1. Tires (air pressure and good tread)
    2. Oil change
    3. All lights operational
    4. Tightening of connections and bolts

If you will answer these general questions and send your reponses back with your RSVP to confirm you are riding with us, it will be helpful with additional planning for this ride.

  1. Have you ever ridden with a group of motorcycle riders before?
  2. What is the smallest and largest group you have every ridden with?
  3. What is the longest group ride you have ever taken?
  4. What type of motorcycle do you ride (   )  A sport Bike  or  (  )  A cruiser?
  5. Rate yourself as a rider:  (   )  Beginner     (   )  Intermediate    (   ) Advanced   (   )  Inexperienced   (   )  Experienced.  Check all that pertain to you.

Please make note of  the following details for our ride:

             Date:                 Friday, October 5, 2018

             Time:                2:00 p.m. for a must-attend-pre-departure meeting

Location:          Travelodge Hotel parking lot.  Located at the Roxford exit off the 210 Freeway.    Situated between the 210 and Foothill Blvd.

              Departure:       2:30 p.m.

Arrival:              4:30-5:00 p.m. (hopefully before dark)

At the time of this email, there are 10 potential riders receiving this notice.  Eight of the ten are confirmed and I expect there will be additional riders added over the next few weeks.  Go ahead and invite a friend to the retreat. They don’t have to ride, but if they do, it would be great to have them join with us.

I will be praying for each of you by name, I know God is going to do a mighty work in our lives as we gather with the other brothers for this weekend away.

Don’t forget to RSVP, I’m hoping to hear from you soon.
